Since the founding of the New Carrollton Community back in the late 50’s, there had always been a desire to provide the new homeowners a way to kick back and relax, and a place to bring the community together..
In 1958, The New Carrollton Pool was created ( a private outdoor swim club, under the name of New Carrollton Recreation Club, Inc), and was a work in progress for many years.
Seen below are early pictures (attribution, unknown) from the summer of 1960, where you can see the fence line around the pool…ongoing construction on the hill in front of the pool, and much more. We will also enclose current pics of the pool from the top of the cell tower on the property.
