It is with a heavy heart that we inform you of the passing of one of our longtime members, Dan Sheerin.

Dan passed at his home surrounded by his loving family on Sunday, December 12th and we will miss his jovial persona, his fabulous outlook on life, his poetry and love of all things Springsteen and his beloved Penn State Nittany Lions.

He was our colleague, our friend, our brother. Never a dull moment around Dan and we send sincere and loving condolences to his entire family.

Wake: Gasch’s Funeral Home, P.A., 4739 Baltimore Avenue, Hyattsville, MD, Sunday, December 19, 5-8 pm 

Memorial Service: St. Mark’s Catholic Church, 7501 Adelphi Road, Hyattsville, MD, Monday, December 20, 2 pm 

Dan decided to donate his body to science and medical research, since his cancer was so rare and aggressive.  There will be no casket at the wake or memorial service.  We are holding an interment ceremony in a few months when we receive his ashes.  We wanted to let you know this ahead of time.
